Hi 3/4 GB, Your blog is one of the most interesting, ipniirnsg and amazing blogs I have ever read. Every little thing about it is good, from the posts to the wiki! I very much enjoy reading your blog, there is always something new! Keep up the good work!So back to your questions, (I am just guessing )I think they chose April 25th as ANZAC day because that was the day that the war started and that would be the most suitable day of all the days of the ANZAC war (WW1)I think ANZAC day is such an important day for Australia and New Zealand because it was such a tragic time for the two countries (and this is a fact) more than 8,000 Australians were killed!(And I know this) ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps.I hope all of my answers were correct, maybe you could reply to me the correct answers?Thank you for creating such a wonderful blog and I look forward to reading oll of your wonderful posts.Kind regardsJessica (5/6W)

Hi everyone,Anzac day is held on the 25th of April beausce it commemorates the anniversary of the landing of the tutes at Gallipoli harbour. Anzac day is important beausce we remember those who died in world war 1 and many other wars. My uncle Patty was shot in action and killed during world war 2. My great grandfather was also wounded during world war 2. When my great grandfather got home he struggled to readjust to normal life and died at the age of 64. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand army corps. Lest we forget ): From Brigitte
